Weather: Temp Mid 40's with Overcast
Area: Salt Fork State Park - Ohio
I couldn't wait to get down to the park and get in my treestand to start hunting. I left Kent,ohio about 4am and for the long 1 1/2 hour drive. Once I got there and parked my vehicle I remember it being so silent that you could hear a pin drop and at that time the moon was in full bloom. I then changed into my hunting clothes and strapped on my portable treestand,locked my vehicle and headed into the woods. I knew where I was going because 2 weeks prior to opening day of bow season I scouted the area and put reflector tacks on the trees to the area I wanted to hunt so that when you pointed your flashlight in that direction it would lead you to your destination.
I made it to the tree I wanted to hunt from,set up the treestand and up i went. I installed my safety belt and loaded my crossbow then sat down and waited for the sun to rise. It was cold and hours went by without ever seeing a deer,I did get to see wild turkeys off in the distance. Afternoon came and I decided to eat lunch up in the treestand for fear of spooking any deer in the area if I came down. Them PBJ's tasted so good and I remember looking to my right all the time at a large pile of brush about 60 yards away on the forest floor while I was eating. Late afternoon came and i was getting real sore from sitting in that treestand all day. I then decided that it was time to get down and work my way back out of the woods before darkness set in. As I stood up in my treestand and unlocked my safety belt I heard branches cracking in that area  I was always looking at 60yds to my right. What I seen changed my life forever !!!  
A large greyish to light brown upright figure stood up from a laying down position in the center of that brush pile. Almost like waking up from a nap and I just could not believe my eyes, my heart started to beat fast and this creature made a moaning noise as it pushed brush away from it and rised up. It then looked in my direction and very slowly turned around and walked away like a old man. There was more grey color then anything and it had no neck and very wide shoulders,medium length hair all over its body and I would say between 7 and 8 feet tall. When it looked in my direction I was not sure if it was looking at me or looking on the ground floor for that noise I made unlocking my safety belt.  
It took me about 10 years before I had the nerve to tell anybody about my encounter.
What I seen and heard will forever remain in my memory !
